Based on the ancient Chinese dictionary, modern Chinese dictionary, modern Chinese corpus, and interlanguage corpus and making “fa” verb as the main research object, this paper firstly investigates the polysemous word “fa” in various meanings of type and their development and from the perspective of various semantic meanings of“fa”, we analyze the position of word“fa”. Further more, according to the position of “fa”, we observe the word-formation position as “fa+X” type of verb from both syntax structure and semantic structure. On grammatical structure,“X” can be verb, nouns and adjectives, can constitute the SVO structures, dynamic structure and parallel structure and polarized structure, in which the largest number is SVO structures. SVO structures also have differences, some “fa+X” can’t break up, some can be split, and the freedom and form are different, which to some extent has a relationship with the quality of morpheme on its action and status. On the semantic structure, based on the Fu Huaiqing “five plane theory” as the theoretical basis, we analyze the semantic differences of“fa” and“X”in same word formation, such as:“start a car”and “make a speech” are both svo structure, but on the semantic, the former is movement + object;“make a speech”is the action and results. In addition, the mode of how“fa” and“X”express the meaning are analyzed. At last, from the perspective of Chinese as a foreign language to teach the“fa” verbs, we analyzed the HSK dynamic composition corpus “fa+ X”in the use of the situation and the errors. And from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it is suggested that the polysemous verbs“fa” adopt discriminating morpheme teaching method. Teachers can decided to how to teach according to different types of meanings“fa”,word formation ability, frequency of use, word forms.
