| As a science of humanism, literature is a mirror to care about the human nature, insight into human survival plight and the darkness of humanity, so as to protect the spiritual homeland for human souls. So, we may say that there’s no literature without the contemplation of the humanism. The perspective of humanity naturally becomes the eternal motif of literary writing in all countries at all times. The literary works of 20th century are also marked the brand of the times. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". This is an era with rapid development of science and technology, and great material enrichment. This is also an era with traditional value system fracture, and increasingly serious alienation phenomena in human society. Such a social reality becomes disjointed and sloppy in the literary world. Being charactered by decentralization depression and fragmentation, the allegorized writing is proved to be the most vivid expression of this age. Chinese and France are two countries which the national spirits are quite similar. Both of them have a long tradition of allegory. Thus, the comparative study on the motif of the perspective of humanity in allegorized writing between Chinese and France is a comparable subject.In this paper, the introduction is to outline the objects, the background and the significance of the study. This part also briefly discusses the current research progress on this subject at home and abroad. The first chapter arranges the research history of allegory theory, and shows up the sight of creation from the overall. Chapter two mainly compares the artistic features between Chinese and France’s allegorized writing, including the similarities of characterization and narrative skills, and their different aesthetic connotations. In the third chapter, from three dimensions of social attribute, natural attribute and cultural attribute, the common features on the motif of the perspective of humanity in allegorized writing between Chinese and France are compared by the method of parallel research. Found in the comparison:the alienation of human nature in modern society, humanity’s reduction and the runaway of devil character are the common themes. Chapter four mainly focuses on the differences. The modern allegorized works in China has continued with the theme of the national deep-rooted bad habits. The issue of disease of the century is the characteristic of French allegorized literature. The fifth chapter attempts to explore the ways of redemption which were presented by those writers from the general point of view.Through the comparative study on the motif of the perspective of humanity in allegorized writing between Chinese and France, we could understand the writers’ thinking about this theme. And the study will provide references for the comprehension of the literature core of the two nations. Hope it can also play a role which has practical guiding significance as literary study. |
