In the Qing Dynasty novels, there is a class of female figures who naive,reckless and dedicated to the most authentic beauty of human nature, the essay will call these characters as silly crazy women, and to develop Ying Ning who is from "Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio",Shi Xiangyun who is from " Dream of Red Mansions" and Chen Liqing who is from "Suppression of the Rebellion" as the main object.Firstly, the cause of these silly crazy female images were discussed from three aspects include the ideological background, literary background and time background.The second chapter makes comparative analysis for the silly crazy female images’ similarities and differences. There are three similarities of Ying Ning, Shi Xiangyun and Chen Liqing: family environment nurturing silly crazy character, silly character contributed chivalrous heart, the tragic outcome can not be avoided. Their character is reflected in the difference between whether their character has variety,the attitude toward marriage is active or passive and the strength of the rebel force.The third chapter analyzes the cultural connotation of the silly crazy female images. Ying Ning, Shi Xiangyun, Chen Liqing’s whims pure character reflects the author’s pursuit of the pure human nature, and their tragic end is a manifestation of disillusionment, thus revealing the plight of human existence. Such characters also reflected in the cultural notion of the complementation of Confucianism and Taoism in Chinese Traditional Culture, reflecting the complementary opposites of dual personality from the characteristics between the respective of the nature and the introspective self-discipline, leave the officialdom and enter into the society, and then express the author’s culture psychological of the complementation of Confucianism and Taoism.Chapter four reveals the silly crazy images of women’s status in the history of fiction from the perspective of gender. The characters who is shaped such as Ying Ning reflects the writer’s rediscovery of the role of women, and female tragedyreveals more profound and powerful. The fiction which reflect women’s issues in late Qing Dynasty energetically promote women’s rights, and the new women take the idea of progress into action actively. Thus, the silly crazy female images such as Ying Ning act as a transitional role in the history of ancient Chinese novels.
