Ancient Chinese Words In Ceramic Decorative Art

Ancient Chinese ceramic with text-decoration is not uncommon. Production process of text-decoration includes of written form and un-written form. Also, the content of text and the form of expression, some of which focus on decoration, some of which focus on expression of text, or some of which take the form of pattern,inscription or stamp, varies by function. However, there is little holistic research on text-decoration in academic field. Therefore, this paper takes ancient Chinese words in ceramic decorative art as the research object, mainly using the method of historical documents and field research to make a systematical collection and organization of ceramics with Chinese ancient text-decoration. This paper tries to reveal the internal collection between text and development of technology on ancient Chinese ceramics,to summarize of performance characteristics and laws of ancient Chinese words in ceramic decorative art, to explore influence of various periods of political, economic,cultural, natural factors on text- decoration performance, and to provide some useful experience and enlightenment for contemporary society with diversified aesthetic tendency.
