A Study On The Uyghur Translation Methods Of Idioms In A Dream In Red Mansions

China boasts profound history and splendid culture in which idioms are the essence of Chinese language with unique structure and rich culture. A Dream in Red Mansions is one of well-known and unprecedented works in the history of Chinese literature. A Dream in Red Mansions adopts a great number of meaningful idioms, which vividly showcases the characteristics and culture of Chinese language and also presents a great research value. The study on the Uyghur translation methods of idioms is a crucial part of the translation study of A Dream in Red Mansions. Based on modern linguistics and translation theory,Using literature method, inductive method, the enumeration method, discussion method, concept analysis method and historical research method of "A Dream in Red Mansions" idioms in Uyghur translation examples of study and classification, summarizes the translators mainly adopt literal translation, free translation, borrowing idioms, imitation translation, shrinkage translation and literal translation with annotation, through the analysis, the basic methods of English translation of Chinese idioms, and then explore the special rules of Uyghur translation of the idioms in Chinese. This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter 1: to summarize idioms and give a briefing about the status quo of idiom translation study;Chapter 2: to take A Dream in Red Mansions as an example, to analyze the Uyghur translation of idioms in A Dream in Red Mansions;Chapter 3: to analyze the Uyghur translation strategies of one idiom under different circumstances;Chapter 4: based on previous analysis, to evaluate and discuss about the merits and demerits of the Uyghur translation of idioms in A Dream in Red Mansions;Chapter 5: Conclusion.Through the collection and arrangement of dimensional versions of A Dream in Red Mansions in idiom translation examples, the basic method of the study of Chinese idioms dimensional translation, and then explore special law of Uyhgur translation of the idioms in Chinese, Uyghur and Chinese translation theory to do a little to promote and complement and enrich Chinese and Uyghur translation corpus.
