The Analysis Of Idiom "Guan Ta Ne"

Structural linguistics, systematical functional linguistics and cognitive linguistics theories are utilized in this dissertation to analyze the trait,comment object,function of "Guan Ta Ne",and the difference between the "Guan Ta Ne"and other similar meaning expressions.The main contents of this study include the following seven parts:The first part is the prolegomenon of this paper.Firstly,it summarizes the relevant researches about idiom,and it is concluded that the characteristics of idiom include the fixed form,the fixed semantics and the fixed context,it belongs to the idiomatic phrase, and idiom match with Cheng Yu, Guan Yong Yu,Su Yu,Xie Hou Yu. Secondly,it summarizes the related researches on "Guan Ta Ne",includes the study of the conjunction "Guan" and the sentence of "Guan"in the past,and the new usage of "Guan Ta Ne".Thirdly,it analyze the nature of "Guan Ta Ne", and introduces the main contents of this article.Finally,it determines the research methods,research value,and corpus sources of this article.The second part explore the characteristics of "Guan Ta Ne".The characteristics of "Guan Ta Ne"as follow:1)The constructional meaning is make an evaluation to the former part."Guan Ta Ne"express a unpredictable constructional meaning, it means disregard he or without regard to he,and,it’s constructional meaning mostly make a comment on preceding part of the text;2)The ability of used individually and varied form."Guan Ta Ne"is a variable idiom,it have some variant forms,there-into,"Guan Ta(它) Ne"is one of the variant form of "Guan Ta Ne",it has the largest number of corpus;3)Colloquial style and rhetorical tone."Guan Ta Ne" has strong colloquial character,it has rhetorical tone,and, it is often appeared in the oral or colloquial style of written language.The third part discusses the comment object of "Guan Ta Ne".Idiom "Guan Ta Ne" as a whole form makes a comment on person or things of preceding part of the text;There-into,the part of comment object about person can be subdivided into people’s critical viewpoint,doubt,misgiving and demand.The fourth part analyze the pragmatic functions of "Guan Ta Ne".The functions of "Guan Ta Ne"in the discourse include emotion expression and emotion interaction function,textual organization function,the negative function of the psychological level.There-into,the textual organization function includes the function of continue appraisal, the function of stop topic and the function of open turn-taking;The negative function of the psychological level includes the psychological negation to the communicative object and the psychological negation to the preceding words.The fifth part discourses the differences between the "Guan Ta Ne"and these expressions,includes "Guan Ta Niang(Ma)","Guan Ta Qu" "Sui Ta Qu","Ren Ta Qu", "Guan Ta San Qi Er Shi Yi","Ni Guan Ta"and "Bu Guan Ta".The differences between "Guan Ta Ne"and these expressions can be analyzed from the following aspects: function,emotional attitude,grammar,nature and so on.The sixth part discusses the pragmatic interpretation of the study on "Guan Ta Ne",includes pragmatic reference theory and context adaptation theory. There-into,the contextual adaptability of "Guan Ta Ne" can be analyzed from three aspects: linguistic context adaptation, situation context adaptation and background context adaptation.The seventh part states the main conclusions of this paper,generally describe the meaning,grammar,rhetoric,function and other aspects of "Guan Ta Ne".Finally,it discusses the deficiencies of this paper.
