Preparation Of Existentialism Of "Sorge" Self-reported Questionaire

ObjectiveBased on Heidegger’s existentialism philosophy and existential psychology, this study brings up three kinds of existent styles, compiles primary questionnaire regarding "sorge", and evaluates the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The study measures daily life "sorge", evaluates the origins of people’s stress and other psychological problems, indirectly evaluates respondents’ life quality, and provides a new evaluation instrument and a new guidance for psychological consulting and psychological therapy.MethodsAccording to existentialism philosophy, the existence of "dasein" is through "sorge". Based on existential psychology, this study compiles questionnaire regarding three kinds of existent styles. To compile the item pool of the questionnaire, this study has utilized the interviewing method and literature analyzing method. With the primary questionnaire, this study has pre-investigated 128 students of Traditional Chinese Medicine University of Guangzhou who obviously felt "sorge", and 125 who did not obviously feel "sorge". By analyzing the collected data, this study compiled questionnaire version 1.0 regarding "sorge". With the "sorge" questionnaire 1.0 and "pressure" questionnaire, this study has tested 456 students from 5 universities who obviously felt "sorge", and another 404 who did not obviously feel "sorge". Meanwhile,100 objects who obviously felt "sorge" and 100 objects who did not obviously feel "sorge" were marked for a resurvey in 3 to 5 weeks’ time afterwards. By appropriate matching, this study contrasted 83 college students who suffered Generalized Anxiety Disorder to 105 college students who did not suffer Generalized Anxiety Disorder but did obviously feel "sorge". After analyzing the reliability and validity of all the collected data above, the final version of "sorge" questionnaire was determined.ResultsThe survey of the primary questionnaire:critical value of each questionnaire item lies in 3.45~11.51. The correlation between each item lies in 0.20~0.57. 6 items were deleted and the rest 41 were kept. The testing of questionnaire 1.0:after item analysis,39 items were retained. After 6 exploratory-factor-analysis,30 items were kept. The questionnaire is consisted of three factors which are "outward", "interpersonal world" and "self-world". The correlation between each two of the three factors lies in 0.33~0.56, and the correlation between the three factors and the overall score of the questionnaire lies in 0.41~0.60. Load of items lies in 0.55~0.77,explaining 54.82% overall variance. Confirmatory factor analysis shows that the "sorge" questionnaire fits the first-order-three-factor model..The values of each fitting index are as follows:x2/df=2.63,RMR=0.05, RMSEA 为=0.06, GFI=0.91, AGFI=0.87, NNFI=0.92, NFI=0.91, CFI=0.92,IFI=0.93. The correlation between three factors and the overall score, and the pressure questionnaire lies between -0.56 and -0.70. Coefficient of internal consistency reliability test shows that the Cronbach’s a and the retest reliability are 0.92 and 0.88, respectively, the internal consistency coefficient of each factor lies between 0.66~0.88, and the retest reliability are between 0.85~0.90. The overall score and score differences among each factor of "sorge" people and "no sorge" people in the formal testing questionnaire are statistically important. The overall score and score differences among each factor of "sorge" people and GAD people in the formal testing questionnaire are statistically important.ConclusionThe formal testing questionnaire of "sorge" has in total 30 items, and is consisted of "outward", "interpersonal world" and "self-world". It fits in the one-order-three-factor model which verified the hypothesis of this study. After three times of data collecting item analyzing, factor analyzing and correlation analyzing, it can be concluded that the formal testing questionnaire of "sorge" has a satisfying reliability, validity and differentiation ability. Therefore, the questionnaire provides a new evaluation instrument and a new guidance for psychological consulting and psychological therapy.
