The Research Of Zheng Zhen’s Study On Hanjian Jianzheng

With the prevalent of collection and research on bronze inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty, and the popular of study on Shuo Wen in Qing Dynasty, the ancient writing which represented by Han Jian, was supposed to be inappropriate in Shang and Zhou, and go against Shuo Wen. Thus it subjected to undue contempt and scholars rarely devoted to research it. In addition, Zheng Zhen,who always regard Shuo Wen as a model, devoted himself to study Guwen, Zhuanwen, and Zhouwen. He also puzzled those who disorder in Xuxue but pretend the ancient writing.Thus he paid many years to research the ancient writing in Han Jian.After his detailed study, he completed this Hanjian Jianzheng, which plays an important role in Han Jian and even in ancient writing research history.Compared with others, Zheng Zhen’s research on ancient writing has its own characteristics and value. But it is still lacking in making systematic study on them by the current academic circles. In view of this, this article intends to make comprehensive arrangement for contents in Hanjian Jianzheng. Then sum up Zheng Zhen’s academic concept and his exegetical methods by compared with Hanjian Zhushi, under the help of Shuo Wen,Duan Zhu, Guwen Sisheng Yun, Chinese ancient books database and related articles. Finally find its value on the study of Han Jian and ancient writing, expecting to promote Zheng Zhen’s academicresearch.This paper could divided into six parts according to the research :First, introduction: mainly introduces Zheng Zhen’s life and works,Han Jian and Hanjian Jianzheng’s written, version and layout style,the overview of relevant research and the reason for choosing this topic.Second, exegetical style and content: analysis and sum up Jian Zheng style, then make the comprehensive arrangement for the book’s content from several aspects, such as identifying the ancient writing, correcting annotation, verifying on the origin and interpreting the phonetic.Third, research methods: through analyzing and inducing each annotation language, to explore its research methods, such as external confirmation method and the method that textual research on writing combining with the pronunciation and meaning.Fourth, academic characteristics: mainly about Zheng Zhen’s academic thoughts in the meaning of normal and vulgar characters, and in the recognition of ancient writing and strange words, as well as the rigorous academic attitude in exegetical practice use.Fifth, achievements and shortcomings: conclude its achievements on the contribution to the study of Han Jian and other books, and on Hanjian Jianzheng’s linguistic value. Then analyze the wrong and not explained parts and evaluate its deficiencies.Sixth, collated edition-Hanjian Jianzheng proofread: proofreadbetween different versions, collate on citation and correct the mistakes and slips of punctuation, text and typography format.
