| Previous academic studies of Yunnan Chuxiong Yi have been mostly focusing on Chuxiongã€Dayaoã€Nanhuaã€yongren Yi, while little attention has been given to li po Yi of Mouding. Simly from the current study of the chucking Yi funeral ceremony, researches related to the case study of an overall grasp and analysis of certain funeral ceremonies in certain areas under relevant anthropological theory is almost none, let alone forming part of the domestic study of li Po Yi within the circle of anthropology and ethnology. Besides, there are rare case studies related to thematic research monograph of Li Po Yi funeral ceremony. No one has ever had a complete record of the entire ritual process of the funeral ceremony of certain Yi branches, leading to a partial understanding and awareness of the funeral ceremony among Yi branches. Therefore, one of the primary tasks is to strengthen the study on the written forms and records of the Yi branches within a region. Based on the above points, this paper chooses one of the three branches of Muding Yi family--Lawan li po Yi branch as the field survey object. A case study of the after-funeral “nadi†ceremony will be done by means of Literature and fieldwork and a combination of real graphs and planar graphs, so as to give readers a visual presentation of the full picture of the whole “nadi†ceremony. Through a thorough and detailed description and analysis of various rituals link, the traditional cultural beliefs of “emphasize more on funerals than obsequies†will be explored, as well as the multiple relations hidden behind the ceremony, which is expected to provide a typical case study of the ethnographic text research on funeral ceremony of the Chuxiong Yi.Specifically, this article includes the following aspects: Chapter One is an introduction to the topic origin, literature review, perspectives and methods, definitions of some concepts and field life. The second chapter describes actual situation of the field point villages and life, physical geography, history, local folk beliefs and Lawan Li po Yi funeral ceremony which is analyzed from the entire process of the funeral, funeral caused by the concept of the soul and funeral ritual sacrifices(Bi mo). The third chapter is a whole description of the after-funeral "nadi" ceremony of the Lawan li po Yi. It is divided into the preparatory work before the ceremony and ritual process, among which the preparatory work before the ceremony is an indispensable part of the "nadi" ceremony. Besides, a detailed description of the ceremony is given respectively. Chapter Four is an analysis and interpretation of the after-funeral "nadi" ceremony of the Lawan li po Yi from the microscopic point of view, so as to further present individual characteristics of the "nadi" ceremony of the Lawan Li po Yi. Chapter Five elaborates the role and effectiveness of the "nadi" ceremony in social life from a static perspective. Finally, a microscopic exploration is given into the root causes of the existence of "nadi" ceremony and human solidarity. It also gives a discussion about the ceremony. |
