A Study Of The Impact Of Religion On Elderly Mongolian Believers In Bozhou Region Of Xinjiang And Of The Countermeasures

In Xinjiang,there is a variety of ethnic populations and diverse religious culture,the impact of religion in the development of xinjiang society cannot be ignored. The majority of Mongolian people believe in Tibetan Buddhism, it has a long history in mongolian nationality’s development, and combination with new features. Among the Mongolian religious communities, the old believers are very active and pious. For Tibetan Buddhism influence on their spiritual and cultural life, and in a certain extent,it play a dominant role in their thoughts, and penetrated into their daily life, impact on their outlook and the values. Elderly believers are the important part of the religious believers, they got their identity, national emotion, and the realization of self-worth from religion. Along with the continuous expansion of population aging and religious development, the religious belief has been involved in the Mongolian elderly believers’ life and has a certain influence on them.It is important to understand the Mongolian elderly believers’ religious belief in a objective way and it is vital to eliminate the religious negative effect, encourage elderly believers understand the religious policy, help elderly believers build up a healthy lifestyle and attitude to life. It is useful to use the religious culture to service for building a harmonious society, and to guide religions to adapt to socialist society.This paper is to study under the guidance of marxist religious view, through the interview and facts analysis of mongolian believers in Bozhou region of Xinjiang,studying the religious influence of Bozhou Mongolian elderly believers in religion consciousness, religious activities, and finding the corresponding suggestions and opinions to solve the problem, for relevant departments to strengthen old religious communities of service and provide reference for the construction of management system.
