On The Contemporary Literary Reference Of Qilu Culture And Its Literary Tradition

Qilu culture is an import component of C hinese regional culture which nourishes Shandong as well as the whole China. Q ilu literature influenced by Q ilu culture possesses glorious tradition. The present paper attempts to find out the reference value of Q ilu culture and its literary tradition in the contemporary literary creation and carry out analysis by applying the Q ilu culture origin appearing in the work of the Shandong writer-Mo Yan as an example.The first chapter makes academic definition of the connotation and features of Q ilu culture and discusses the Q ilu culture complex of Mo Yan. Q ilu culture is defined from broad sense and narrow sense and its three levels are ascertained: Dongyi culture, Q i and Lu state culture during Pre-Q in period and cultural entity tending to fusion after Q in and Han dynast y. Qilu culture as a cultural entity can also be divided into Q i culture and Lu culture. The analytical emphases focus on the respective level of Q ilu culture apart from Dongyi culture, and the analysis of Qilu literary tradition incorporated therein. The present paper classify Mo Yan in the rank of Rural Literature Writer and digs his Qilu culture complex from the writer’s own life and creation experience so as to make groundwork for the whole paper’s example analysis.Chapter 2, 3 and 4 respectively discuss the reference value of cultural elements including humanistic style, personality characteristics of Shandong people, Q ilu dialect and so on in the contemporary literary creation. And the author also analyzes the specific reference in the fiction’s scene and plot setting, characterization, language organizing and so on by applying Mo Yan’s creation as examples. The author ultimately reaches the conclusion that Qilu culture has provided abundant literature materials for contemporary literary creation.Chapter 5 discusses how different cultural traits in Q i and Lu collide and integrate with the literary tradition, how they jointly inspire the writers’ literary thinking and how they promote the constant development of Q ilu culture. Q ilu writer-Mo Yan has realized the integration of Qi’s Valuing-Life culture and Lu’s Valuing-People culture, fantastic imagination of Qi culture and plain massiness of Lu culture as well as Qi’s humorousness and Lu’s solemnity. Thus his work show strong regional color in thinking, work style, expression technique.In summary, the present paper intends to explore the contemporary literary value of Q ilu culture and its cultural tradition and makes a comprehensive investigation on the interactive relationship between Mo Yan’s literary creation and Qilu culture to realize aim of doing research through ancient and modern and making the past serving the present.
