The Study On Interrogative Category Of Mituo Dialect In Taihu County, Anhui Province

Interrogative category is a hot topic in Chinese studies, especially in the study of Chinese dialects. The study of Chinese interrogative category not only involves the three aspects of phonetics, semantics and grammar, but also relates to the trend of the actual language communication. Based on the rich first-hand dialect material,this article is trying to describe the system of interrogative category of Mituo dialect with referring the fruitful research achievement of Mandarin and other dialects’ interrogative category.The first chapter is the introduction. Firstly expounds Mituo dialect’s adscription in the seven Chinese dialect areas. Then summarizes Mituo dialect’s phonological system, which includes consonants, vowels, tones and phonology characteristics, The last part elaborates a summary of the research on Chinese interrogative category,and the corpus source and style of this paper.The second chapter is about the interrogative mood words in Mituo dialect, which includes interrogative words and interrogative pronouns. The first part lists eight commonly-used interrogative words of 啊、哪、啦、吧、哦、么、呢、诶 and their idiomatic usages as well as the differences in Mandarin. The interrogative pronouns can be divided into nine categories according to different objects. Besides introducing the use of them, and different interrogative pronouns of a same type were compared as well.The third chapter is about Mituo dialect’s interrogative style. In addition to specific interrogative sentence, yes-no interrogative sentence, optional interrogative sentence and positive-negative interrogative sentence, the paper makes a simple exposition of tag-question sentence and rhetorical question, they were commonly used and they are of distinct characteristics In the choice of words.
