Research On The Core Values Of Socialism

Since the new century, the deepening of economic globalization, cultural exchanges have become more and more profound. Different social ideological trend collision, or fusion, or conflict. From the view of status, there are the mainstream social thoughts and non mainstream social thoughts; ideologically, socialism and capitalism social trend of thoughts. Different trends of social thoughts form people of different values and value choices, which have the important influence on the health and harmonious development of a society. The establishment of the socialist core values, is the mainstream Chinese value view and the important guidance thought.The socialist core values are in accordance with China traditional social values, the reality with Chinese socialist characteristics and specific conditions, and absorb and learn from the foreign advanced ideas. Therefore, the socialist core values has obvious local, times and the advanced nature. The establishment of the socialist core values, is an important content of the Chinese characteristics socialist construction. To strengthen the theory of socialist core values and provide a strong theoretical support for the cultivation and practice of socialist core values, is the starting point of this study.This paper mainly research the basic problems of the core values. The problems include:firstly, we analyze the times, the practical foundation, the reality basis and theoretical source of the background of raising the core values. Secondly, discuss on the basic connotation of similar concepts with the socialist core values, and analyzes the significance of cultivating and practicing socialist core values. Then, discusses the basic content of socialist core values from three different levels or angle according to the "Three Advocate" and the analysis its five characteristics.At last, in this dissertation, puts forward some specific ways to cultivate and practice the socialist core values.
