The Reform Of Household Registration System In China

The household registration system is the population in a country or region a basic systemof administrative management. China’s current household registration system is based on1958enacted the law of the People’s Republic of China on household registration ordinanceand establish binary household registration system, it is a transfer registration, examinationand approval system\" as the core of urban and rural areas has other household registrationsystem. It will artificially citizens are divided into "the city" and "rural people", and givesdifferent interests and rights, and restricted the conversion between them, seriously violatedcitizen’s equal rights, liberty and other rights. In today’s society progress, this limitation hasrestricted the progress of the society and people’s all-round development, the reform of thehousehold registration system is imminent.Follow this paper puts forward problems, analyzing problems and problem-solving ideas,conducting research in China. At the same time, based on China’s household registrationsystem reform as the core, the change in the reform of household registration system in ourcountry as the main line, to guarantee that citizens to enjoy reform of migratory freedom asthe ultimate goal, through normative analysis and empirical analysis method, historicalanalysis and logic analysis method, and combined with literature research, comparativeresearch and so on, to our country the history change of the household registration system,problems and reform direction, reform measures, as well as international experience forreference of the household registration system for the research.This paper was divided into four parts: the first part is the historical review of thedevelopment of the household registration system in China, through analysis should givecitizens the right to free migration. The second part is the analysis of the current householdregistration system defects, it is concluded that the current household registration system hasseriously hinder the development of market economy and the improvement of people’s lifequality this conclusion. The third part is on abroad and our country Taiwan area according tothe comparison of census register good practice on introduction and analysis of provideexperience and reference for our country household register system reform. The fourth part isthe author in view of the problems existing in the current household registration system in our country put forward reform suggestions, so as to contribute to the successful reform of thehousehold registration system in our country.
