A Study Of Communities Intervening Paths For The Retired Elders’ Psychological Predicament In The Perspective Of Role Transition

With the social development and population increase, aging of the population is an unavoidable major social issue of common concern to the Chinese community today. The social problems about old people becomes more and more, like the difficulty of seeking treatment and the mental health of people. In the case of our living standards improve people pay more attention to the psychological status and spiritual culture of old people. To help old people to solve psychological dilemma becomes an urgent issue of our government and society at this stage.Many old people who reach the retiring age are facing to the role transition from work to family. Their bodies are getting worse and they are always in bad mood. They are more easily to have negative emotion at this stage. Their emotion are greatly impacted by the role transition-from career to leisure, their social status and daily life have been obviously changed. They feel lonely and get into psychological dilemma. If they cannot get out of their dilemma, their bodies will get worse and worse and they cannot be in a good mood to face their life. Because old people cannot adjust themselves and their families are not stay with them, our government and society need to build a platform to help old people out and make them have more wonderful life.Community is the main place for old people’s entertainment and life and it is bound together in extricating with old people’s daily life. Community has a responsibility and a duty to solve old people’s dilemma. Foreign experience in community are also directly put forward to the mode of the elderly care, so the community as a platform to help the elderly through psychological difficulties, restore social role is very feasible. This thesis will newly retired old people psychological difficulties and demand associated with community service, strengthen the construction of community service, to meet the old part of life and psychological needs.This thesis standers relevant concepts and theories of sociology and social psychology, through the typical case interview method, to study urban elderly mentality change and psychological distress, investigate the psychological characteristics of the social role changes,analyze the elderly factors of psychological difficulties, through draw lessons from foreign some good experience in community service, and combining the old psychological predicament with community service, puts forward the concrete countermeasures of community intervention, role learning and role to help the elderly, make them as soon as possible through psychological difficulties, enjoy the beauty in later life.In this thesis the research content and analysis point of view has certain novelty.
