Study On The Plight And Countermeasures Of Rural Empty Nester Endowment

With the accelerated process of modernization, and the family planning policy for a long time, a large family structure which makes our country "raise children to protect against old age" had been reduced to fragments, and rural family relationships tended to "core", and even a large number of peasant migrant workers caused a huge gap in the society and the area between the relatives, more and more elderly people are placed in rural areas, and faced with the dilemma of the empty nest. The desalination of the "respecting the old" concept made economic support, life support and spiritual support, which are provided by children for the rural empty nesters, be gradually reduced, only rely on family pension has been difficult to meet the rural empty nesters pension demand. At the same time, due to two structures formed in urban and rural areas over a long period of time, the coverage of China’s current pension insurance system is sharply narrow, more inclined to urban residents, but the proportion accounted for the elderly in rural areas is extremely low. The function of rural family pension weakening and the social welfare and security system is not perfect, which makes the survival of the plight of rural empty nest elderly became a social problem. Study on the plight and countermeasures of rural empty nest elderly people, is an important guarantee for social equity and justice and promote the building of a harmonious society.In this paper, by means of questionnaire survey and individual interview, firstly I summarize the current situation of the rural empty nest elderly pension in China and Hainan Province, simultaneously through the empirical research understand the basic situation of the empty nest elderly people in Chengmai County Fushan Town, and make a depth analysis of the current situation of rural empty nest elderly pension in Fushan Town from two aspects of support and demand. Due to the analysis of the current situation, I obtain the pension difficulties which are faced by the empty nest elderly people in Fushan Town at this stage. What’s more, I explore the factors affecting pension difficulties on this basis. Finally, aiming at the specific endowment plight of the Fushan Town empty nest elderly people, I put forward some corresponding countermeasures.
