Marx’s theory of national transition is an important part of Marx’s national theory, and also the organic content of scientific socialism. Studying Marx’s theory of national transition, can not only help to clarify Marx’s view of the national, but also guide our current reform more effectively. This article is based on the classical literature about Marx’s theory of national transition. The first part traces Marx’s investigation of the causes of the national transition theory. When criticizing the wrong judgment of Hagel’s civil society and national relations, Marx put forward the transformation of the national ideology, pointing out that the transformation of the national is not to cancel the government, to be anarchism, but refers to the withering away of the national, that is, the transition from the country of being political rule tool to the country of being engaged in social public service, and go towards a real modern democratic politics. The second part analyses the theoretical basis of the transformation of the nation. First of all, the national transition is of probability. The national is a historical process. It is not always there, nor immortal, so perish and transformation is possible. Secondly, the national transformation is inevitable. Class oppression and liberation of human beings are not compatible, for human liberation is a necessary requirement for political transformation of the national for public service national. Finally, the necessity of countries not exists in the new society. In the future communist society, there are no class antagonisms and class oppressions, therefore, there is no need for such a country being as class struggle tool. The third part discusses the practical path of national transformation. Transformation of the national is not accomplish at one stroke. The proletariat seize national power through proletarian revolution, and establish the dictatorship of the proletariat from the capitalist society to the Communist society step by step. At the same time, the Communist society is a stage of development from low to high, and finally thorough transformation. The fourth part discussed the national transition to modern democratic society. Based on the reconstruction of individual ownership, the new society carries out the democratic pattern which combine the direct and indirect democracy. At the same time, and this kind of democracy is accompanied by the highly developed social public services.According to the theory of Marx national transition analysis, this article holds the view that China should gradually turn to the modern democratic politics. Our country should continuously adhere to basic strategy of ruling the country by law, create a good environment for the rule of law, rebuild the individual ownership, expand people’s rights, promote the development of modern democratic politics construction, strengthen the social public management service, and really push countries in transition to constitutional democratic direction.
