Networks’ convenient make more and more consumers trade online. And what follows is a lot of cross-border online consumer disputes. Due to the large number of cross-border online consumption, the traditional dispute resolution has been unable to meet the requirements of the network to resolve consumer disputes. Online dispute resolution mechanisms,(ODR- Online Dispute Resolution) this new network technology dispute resolution combine alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to provide a cross-border e-commerce economy, convenient, efficient and fair dispute resolution.At present, Chinese cross-border e-commerce consumer’s online dispute resolution mechanisms exist technical obstacles, such as lack of trust, lack of procedural justice,lack of online verdict rulings and execution problems, which lead online dispute resolution mechanisms unable to apply and develope well in our country. The main reasons for the existence of the above problems are that governments are lack of financial support and industry is lack of self-discipline. What’s more, online users are short of the awareness of online dispute resolution. The European Union, the United States and other international organizations cross-border e-commerce consumer disputes resolution is the mature experience of online dispute resolution mechanism. Our country should pay attention to the procedural justice and its popularization. Only improve the technology of online dispute resolution mechanism, establish a trust mechanism online dispute resolution mechanism, clear jurisdiction belongs, and solve the difficulty problems of efficacy and implementation of online dispute resolution mechanism,which can really play the advantage of online dispute resolution mechanism, enhance consumers’ confidence to shop online and promote the development of cross-border e-commerce.
