In recent years, with the increasing of the rights awareness of the citizens, we choose to study the right to life of all citizens’rights. The reason is that it is the most basic right of all human rights, and it is the fundamental premise for citizens to enjoy other rights. In recent years, some serious accidents and incidents have happened in our country, which make citizens realize that people’s lives are more important than anything. At present, many countries and regions have already made clear provisions on the constitutional protection of the right to life. But in the constitution of our country, the protection of the right to life is still relatively blank. Therefore, to build a complete set of protection of the right to life of the legal system, and other departments for the protection of the right to life lay the necessary foundation for the first step is to write the right to life in the constitution. This paper mainly through the concept and meaning of the "right to life" to be understood, introduced the basic characters of the right to life, by tracing back to the historical process of the constitutional protection of the right to life, and further extended to practices and experiences of other countries and regions in the world on this subject, then expounded other countries’inspiration to our country’s constitutional protection for the right to life. By combining the consideration of theory with value of the study on this subject, discussed our country about the necessity of the right to life into the constitution and according to learn from the right to life of the experience and inspiration of other countries’constitution, combined with the current situation of our country, to analyze the root cause of the right to life blank of our constitution, and clear the direction of future China’s right to life into the constitution should strive to:establish the constitutional status of the right to life, the country should earnestly fulfill the obligation of protecting the right to life, improve the relief of right to life in our constitution and establishment of constitutional litigation system. To discuss the interpretation and the constitutional protection of the right to life, to make a theoretical foundation for the construction of a complete system of constitution. According to the special nature of the right to life, to make a specific discussion and some practical ideas on this right. In order to protect of the right of life of citizens, make scholars understand the right to life more exactly, promote the construction of China’s judicial reform. According to the specific research object and research perspective, this paper uses the method of comparative analysis and empirical history. Analyze the right to life, the right to subsistence and life safety of the right to life, to sum up the practical significance and the characteristics of the right to life, contrast from ancient times to the present relevant countries to protect the right to life practice. Compared the specific working means of the protection of right to life in ancient and modern, and combined with different social factors, in order to make fundamental measures of the constitution protection of the right to life, that according with the reality of our country.
