College Students Village Official project is one of Chinese Communist Party and Chinesegovernment’s important strategic deployments according to China’s economic and socialdevelopment in the new period. Its essence is a project of leading high-quality talents go torural area to work.It has important practical significant to speed up the socialist new ruralconstruction, improve the rural grassroots cadres’ quality, foster backups of party andgovernment’s cadres and improve the university students’ employment status. "Thought is theforerunner of action".Enhancing College Students village officials’ ideological and politicaleducation research and guiding them growth successfully is the basis and premise to realizethe target of this project.In this paper, we made a comprehensive analysis on the basis of doing questionnaire andon-the-spot interviews of College Students Village Officials and their leaders in Xiaogan CityHubei Province. This paper argues that there are many ideological and psychologicalproblems with College Students Village Officials.Mainly including: lack of will anddetermination to root in rural area, concerns no paths when contract expires, fears of severehardship, lack a sense of self-identity, etc.College Students Village Officials’ problem in ideology and psychology are causes bytwo main aspects. On one hand ,College Students Village Officials’ ideological and politicaleducation involves five negative factors, including College Students Village Officials’problems of ideology, psychology and ability, lacking guide and care from colleges anduniversities, grassroots cadres’ distorted guide on College Students Village Official, the policydefects of College Students Village Official project and social environment’s bad effect onCollege Students Village Officials. On the other hand, there are four defects of CollegeStudents Village Officials’ ideological and political education system, lacking of professionalideological and political education team, the content of the training lacking pertinence andeffectiveness, focusing on theory, but ignoring to guide in practice work and ignoring theCollege Students Village Officials’ self education. Five negative factors and four defects talked above have been increasing difficulties and reducing effectiveness of College StudentsVillage Officials’ ideological and political education system.In order to achieve good effectiveness of College Students Village Officials’ ideologicaland political education, the goals and tasks of College Students Village Officials’ ideologicaland political education should be clear firstly, it is the premise and basis to organize relatedactivities. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp four elements of College Students VillageOfficials’ ideological and political education, there are the overall objectives, the main content,the basic principles as well as the working mechanism, and construct five big systems onCollege Students Village Officials’ ideological and political education. Firstly, topropagandize College Students Village Officials related policy, guide excellent graduates tobuild a primary ambition of establishing business in rural areas, and form a good consensusorientation for College Students Village Officials’ growth by establishing college, governmentand social media "trinity" propaganda guide system. Secondly, To select excellent CollegeStudents Village Officials who really want to settle in countryside and meet the needs of ruraldevelopment by establishing college ,local government inter-active selection and cultivationsystem.
