With the first generation of migrant workers gradually going away from the stage of construction, the new generation of migrant workers has become the main force of China’s industrial workers. According to the National Bureau of Statistics:in2012, the national number of migrant workers is262,000,000, among them, the new generation of migrant workers groups (16to30years old) accounted for36.8%. They are born and live in the countryside, after finishing high school or having less education, they go to the cities to engage in non-agricultural industries. They are16to30years old, and at present have the rural household registration. The existing studies have shown that the new generation of migrant workers have strong desire to participate in occupation training. And the occupation training for the new generation of migrant workers has an important significance, on the one hand it can improve their working skills and the ability to adapt to the city, on the other hand, it can promote social and economic development. But the current occupation training for the migrant workers can’t meet the demand of new generation of migrant workers in the occupation training. Therefore, paying attention to the needs of new generation of migrant workers in occupation training, and to strengthen and improve the occupation training mode, improve the policies of occupation training, solve the dilemma of occupation training, are necessary to speed up the way of transforming into townspeople, but also speed up the practical choice of China’s economic restructuring and changing the mode of economic development.Previous studies on occupation training the new generation of migrant workers paid more attention to conduct the research from the angle of external-the economic and social development, while ignoring the study from the internal--the development of new generation of migrant workers. And putting the needs of the seevice object in high position.is the core idea of social work, so this study uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate the new generation of migrant workers working in the7enterprises in Y city, to explore their demands for occupation training. Then I interview two Y City Bureau of education staff who are responsible for vocational education and the occupation training and one occupation training office staff to analysis the status of the occupation training.Under current economic conditions, the Chinese government is mainly responsible for the following four functions:to ensure national security, to safeguard judicial justice to make up for the market failure, to protect and help poor people. At present, the labor market imbalances in supply and demand, while the new generation of migrant workers are vulnerable. So to make up for the market failure and to help poor people, the government will need to provide effective help for the new generation of migrant workers. And because the government is mainly dependent on the various social policies to control the market, to support the development of occupation training, how to make policies is very important. So after exploring the demand of the newr generation of migrant workers, this paper uses the method of literature review to study social policies relating migrant workers occupation training, according to the demands of the new generation of migrant workers to find the issues of social policies, and then put forward policy recommendations from two aspects.
