"Teachers become researchers" is not only the important direction ofthe professional development of teachers in new times, but also the necessary requiresof the new curriculum reform and an important source for the development of theschool. Famous educationist-Sukhomlinsky once said,"To lead every teacher toresearch, the road of happiness". But as the education itself is a complex system ofscientific research projects, together with teachers ’ own subjective criterialimit.Teachers in primary and secondary schools, especially rural primary and middleschool teachers in teaching and research still have some problems. The research surveyrural primary and secondary school teachers ’ teaching and research modes and theircurrent situations, towards the teachers of rural primary and secondary schools in beibeidistrict, Chongqing, by using questionnaire and interview methods. Throughinvestigation, author found that there is a larger development in rural primary andsecondary schools teachers research, while many problem also exsits, such as the lackof subjective awareness in research, single research forms, old-fashioned researchmechanism, the fuzzy evaluation in research, and so on. Author analyze the existingachievements and problems on research in multiple degrees, and had somerecommends to develop research in rural primary and secondary schools. The proposalsare living the research subjective, strengthening research practice and guaranteeingresearch, to improve the rural teachers’ teaching and research, and to achieve thedirection in effective teaching objectives.
