With the increasing in population of hearing-impaired, hearing-impaired people,especially young people with hearing impairment issue is gaining attention from academiccircles. Deaf youngsters under physiological defects and psychological stress, easy to producedeviations self-concept, self-identity disorder caused this problem in the hearing-impairedyouth groups more common, serious impact on their health of normal growth and socialintegration.Contributions from the field of sociology on self-identity theory mainly have Cooley’s‘looking-glass self’ theory and Becker’s labeling theory. Self-concept is formed in associationwith others, to their own understanding of others reflect on their own perceptions of theindividual through guessing those who formed their own self-concept evaluation. It can beseen, the individual self-consciousness and self-recognition of the extent of the increase, canmore effectively address the bias of self-identity, self-identity’s improving while also needstimulation and strengthen from the external environment. Social work areas reckoned thatusing traditional service method to involve in the hearing impaired adolescent perspective ofself-identity disorder is not conducive to their growth. They need a new perspective andempowerment theory instead of the problem perspective, to treat and improve psychologicalbarriers and behavioral problems for people with disabilities.This study belongs to the field of social work, research to improve the deaf adolescentself-identity of social work mode. As a case study of a selected object Z to investigate andevaluate the interventional treatment and track the whole process of the settlement, usepsychosocial treatment mode, rational emotional and behavioral therapy treatment mode, inorder to obtain different patterns on the individual deviation treatments of the self-concept andunreasonable behavior effect and experience. The researcher used psychosocial treatmentmodel and rational emotive therapy mode directly on the hearing-impaired young peoplethemselves accept training. Meanwhile, the researcher used behavioral therapy mode tochange interpersonal difficulties and improve outside identity, using the strengths perspectiveand empowerment theory in order to enhance a sense of empowerment to enhanceself-identity. After the entire process involved in the present case and the study found that these threemodes for enhanced hearing-impaired youngsters’ self-identity have played a positive role inthe positive. Among them, the psychosocial treatment mode have larger effect on improve theinternal self-reflection, rational emotive therapy mode give the client’s life story some rationalthinking and reasonable beliefs, effectively restore the egotism self forming process, thesetwo modes can promote the client’s positive emotional experience and strengthenself-pleasing degree. Behavioral treatment modality mainly by improving relationships, andthen explore the potential advantages of social learning to enhance the client’s sense ofempowerment and group belonging, this model effectively using the external situation andfeedback, greatly promote and consolidate the first two modes have established self-identityon the study object. And combining these three modes phased use of the case can fully correctthe deviation of self-concept, and then rebuild and consolidate the good self-image,self-acceptance and self-identity.
