Under the influence of humanism ideological trend, improving residents’life quality problem is becoming more and more important, to study the micro individual activity time geography research, with emphasis on the relationship between time and space is getting great development. In recent years, with the development of information technology including mobile information technology, the daily activities of the space structure of urban residents also changed accordingly. Urban development due to the influence of the "male", has been ignored the space requirements of women, triggered a series of city and social problems. In this paper, we used the method of time geography, taking Nanjing as an example, analyzed the space characteristics of female residents’daily activities in the information age. The data was from Nanjing residents’behavior questionnaire in 2011 and 2012. Based on the study of the classification of valid questionnaire summary statistics, we explained the influence of ICT to female residents work, housework, shopping, tour, and other daily activities, analyzed the time distribution characteristics of daily activities of Nanjing female residents. According to using GIS, we drew the space and time path graph on Nanjing female residents’daily activities, typical time-space distribution and three-dimensional nuclear density diagram, to realize the spatial characteristics of female residents of Nanjing. At the same time, according to the frequency of using information technology equipment, the female residents were divided into high, medium and low three categories, respectively. In order to understand the female residents’internal differentiation characteristics of time-space, we analyzed the characteristics of time and space. We found that information technology has penetrated into every aspect of female residents’daily life, and influenced the time, place and ways of daily activities; Relative to the male, the female residents took more time for family, housework and shopping. Female residents did more housework, and often did other affairs on their way to work, so their working day activity become more complex; The space of female residents daily activities was very limited, gathering only in the range of 4 km away from home, and they always assembled in Xinjiekou region; Information technology liberated the female residents to some extent, the female residents who get higher information will be less affected by time and space constraints, the quality of their life is higher. This paper is divided into six chapters as following:Chapter One:Introduction. This chapter Includes research background, significance, related concepts, research area, research methods, data sources, research content and research framework. Chapter Two:Progress in theory and related research progress. First, the relevant theoretical studies analyzed, from women and urban space, daily activities when ICT impact on residents’ daily activities and spatial characteristics of residents in three areas related research were reviewed and summarized.Chapter Three:ICT impact on women residents’daily activities. Analysis of the impact of ICT on women residents work, travel, entertainment, shopping and other daily activities.Chapter Four:Time female residents daily activities allocation characteristics. Through the compilation of statistics on the questionnaire, analyze the overall time female residents daily activities and time allocation feature rhythm.Chapter Five:Temporal relationship between female residents daily activities. Path through space-time residents’daily activities, spatial distribution of a typical cross-section time three-dimensional nucleation density and spatial and temporal distribution of three methods to analyze the temporal relationship between the female residents’daily activities and the use of information according to the situation of women residents of equipment, analysis of different levels of female residents information the spatial and temporal variation.Chapter Six:Conclusion and discussion. The paper summarizes the main findings, the presence of research problems and research prospects, while the characteristics of the female residents empirical analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution, planning and propose appropriate policy response to the idea from the macro -and micro-technologies. The whole thesis contains about 40000 words,36 pictures and charts.
