Kindergarten work order has made it clear that kindergartens should make children’s play as the basic activity. Kindergarten should create appropriate conditions of children’s play, provide multi function play materials, ensure the children enough game time, and carry out various forms of the games. At the same time, teachers should guide children’s play based on the age and characteristics of the children. Teachers should encourage and support the children according to their own interests, needs and experience. Teachers should let children choose contents, materials, and partners, so that children could get positive emotional experience during their games.Role play is children’s imagination reflecting of the real life, through imitating. As a natural form of childhood games, role play is one of children’s favorite games, and has been widely carried out in kindergartens. The teacher divide role play area into several parts, and set the theme and the role to them, especially the materials are prepared in advance, such as common doll house, hospital, restaurant etc. Whether children’s playing standard and development of ability in the relatively closed environment will be limited. Is this way against the trend that we should fully respect for the will of children in playing games? The author carried out the following research to find the answer. This paper mainly adopts the methods of observation and case analysis. The two classes were selected from Z kindergarten, Y kindergarten and X kindergarten as the research object. The data of children’s behavior observation in the open environment will be analyzed, and compared with the closed environment.
