Currently a growing number of students with autism spectrum disorders are into the special education school,while the curriculum of the special education school can not meet their developing needs.Domestic and foreign research results have demonstrate that,children with autism spectrum disorders have impairment in their abilities of life adjustment; It’s necessary to develop life adjustment curriculum for students with autism spectrum disorders in special education school.This study focused on the life adjustment curriculum design and implementation for students with autism spectrum disorders in special education school. According to the circumstance of 7 students with autism spectrum disorders in Weihai special education school, the researchers designed the life adjustment curriculum schemes contained cleaning, making wheaten-food and shopping.Also, the above schemes were carried out in the real life situations in school for 3 months. At the same time, the researchers would real-timely evaluate the students’ grasp of the cleaning, making wheaten-food and shopping skills, and attention to the overall level of students life adjustment abilities, the parents’ evaluation about the effect of curriculum implementation.Results show that:(1)the process of life adjustment curriculum development involves four stages which are assessment, curriculum development, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation,through the implementation of curriculum programs developed via above four stages,the life adjustment abilities of students with autism spectrum disorders are improved, indicating that the process of curriculum design and implementation are relatively reasonable, and the process with strong operational can provide reference for the development of appropriate courses.(2)With the implementation of life adjustment curriculum, each student with autism spectrum disorders has mastered cleaning skills, making wheaten-food skills and shopping skills, and they have maintained good effects and generalization effects.(3)With the implementation of life adjustment curriculum, all levels of life adjustment ability of each student with autism spectrum disorders are more significantly improved.Consequently, the life adjustment curriculum schemes, containing cleaning, making wheaten-food and shopping, which guide the students to operate in real situations, can effectively promote the level of the students’ life adjustment ability.
