Kindergarten teachers are professionals in performing pre-school education and teaching children, who are mainly responsible for the work of early childhood education and is the important person for early childhood development. The legitimate rights of kindergarten teachers are the foundation for the stability and the quality of kindergarten teachers’ teams, which decides the development of the pre-school education. Therefore, it is very necessary to form a comprehensive understanding of the status of kindergarten teachers’ rights protection and to sum up the problems in kindergarten teachers’ rights protection as well as to propose appropriate measures for dealing with the problems.This study based on the summing up of previous studies, and the author designs the “Questionnaire for Protecting the Rights of Changsha City’s Kindergarten Teachers”. And 500 kindergarten teachers which in 40 different kindergartens are selected to finish the questionnaire. The author also selects 20 kindergarten teachers to have interviews in order to get some detail information. SPSS17.0 statistical software for data collection is used to get descriptive statistics and inferential statistics for the purpose of getting to know the status of Changsha kindergarten teachers’ rights protection. The purpose of this study is to protect the rights of kindergarten teachers by finding some problems and dealing with the problems according to the data analysis.The research result shows that: both Changsha kindergarten teachers’ rights of professional and rights of treatment are not being effectively protected. In addition, there are differences between public kindergartens and private kindergartens in protecting the rights of Changsha’s ’kindergarten teachers. There are also differences between urban kindergartens and rural kindergartens in protecting the rights of Changsha’s kindergarten teachers. By contrast, private kindergarten teachers and rural kindergarten teachers cannot be effectively guaranteed.The main reasons for Changsha’s kindergarten teachers not being effectively protected are: the relevant laws of kindergarten teacher’s rights protection are incomplete; a lower proportion of government investment in pre-school education; supervision and management of the government are not guaranteed; kindergarten owners’ shortcomings of management; the Teachers’ Union is not independent under the ‘principal responsible system’; kindergarten teachers do not know their rights and so on.Accordingly, the author puts forward some solutions: establishing scholarships to attract outstanding students to major in preschool education; establishing special inspection teams for supervising and managing the kindergartens; put multi-level kindergarten teacher training into practice; ameliorating the system of the kindergarten teachers complaints; setting up Kindergarten Teaching and Research Department and dedicating research staffs in order to to guide teachers in teaching and research; encouraging a variety of ways to raise the funds of the kindergartens and effectively improving the treatment of kindergarten teachers; kindergarten Teachers’ Union independent from the administrative system of kindergartens for the purpose of truly protecting the rights of teachers; strengthening home-kindergarten cooperation and deepening parents’ understanding of pre-school education; strengthening kindergarten teachers’ legal awareness and consciously enhancing their professionalism.
