Along with the comprehensive promotion of the new curriculum reform, reform in China is in full swing, senior middle school geography curriculum reform in Guangxi began in 2012.Teachers are an important participant in the new curriculum reform,it will relate to the success of the new curriculum reform.The new geography education curriculum standards puts forward new requirements to teachers in teaching skills.Therefore,to better adapt to the requirements of the new curriculum standards,the higher normal teaching education training methods should be adjusted for cultivate the excellent teachers.This article according to the Guangxis college geography major students-classroom teaching practice,use a variety of methods such as literature study,questionnaires and interview to investigate the situation of the teaching skills in class for geography major students, to survey the situation of the existing problems and the reason of the problem and to give the corresponding training strategies. The paper is divided into six section:The first section is the preface. This part describes the research background and significance of the subject and elaborates the research situation at home and abroad from the concept of teaching skills, classification, training. In addition,this part summarizes the current existing research results, identifies deficiencies to provide theory and practical basis. Besides. it summarizes the subjects research methods, technical route and innovations to the overall overview.The second section is the overview of classroom teaching skills. This part defines the concept of the geography classroom teaching skills and describes its classification in order to lay the foundation for status of the investigation and proposed strategies.The third section description the connection of new curriculum reform and geography teaching skills. Expound the background and the main content of the new curriculum reform, moreover, the new curriculum standards proposed new requirements for geography normal students1 teaching skills.The fourth section is the geography research situation in the new curriculum for college students of Guangxi.The part analyzes the situation about normal students,geography teaching skills through questionnaires and interview to identify the main problems on geography teaching skills in class.The fifth section is the development strategy in the new course reform for college geography students’teaching skills in class. This part aiming the major problems according to the analysis of the front parts proposes the training strategies for normal geography students in teaching skills under the guidance of the theory.The sixth section is the conclusion. It introduces the basic conclusion of this study..And it also prospects for further research.
