Athletes whether can success mainly depends on the method of visual information. And in the process of movement, the extraction of information is the most basic psychological support, visual information extraction model is different, may cause different sports ability between the high level athletes and the low level ones. Eye movement analysis has become one of the most effective means of research on visual information processing, is widely applied to various sports research, and has gotten a big success, also providing more scientific research materials for the development of the sports, is regarded as a advanced methods on sport psychology study.In this study we try to regard the volleyball smashing action as a research object, the special cognitive eye movement characteristics of athletes as the research content, using experimental methods of cognitive psychology, through ASL Eye Tracker Type 6000 to research the visual information characteristics of different levels of volleyball players. The research adopted the experts- novice paradigm, recorded the participants of the average fixation time, total fixation time, average saccadic distance, average saccadic speed and quantity fixation point eye movement indicators, to find the differences between different levels and gender volleyball players,to search the characteristics of visual movement in judging the land point of smash in volleyball.The study found that relative to the low level of athletes, the high level athletes get action information cognitive ability is stronger; High level athletes win in visual information, processing information and watching breadth of this ability is stronger; The strong ability of high level athletes visual search speed; The intensity of attention in the high level athletes in visual cognition is appropriate; Number of high level athletes visual search is more reasonable and targeted, have relatively mature cognitive processing strategies. Among them, the high level of male athletes in action information of cognitive ability is superior to the high level female athletes; High levels of male athletes visual search speed ability is superior to high levels of female athletes.
