Research On The Utilization Of Screen Without The Basketball Of2008-2013World Series

With the improving of the whole team defense and the advocating of personal offensive defense in the modern basketball games, the offensive players without the ball often move and get the screens from the teammates without the ball, so they can get open for the ball, and then they can get the ball for the offense. More and more teams use this screens without the ball in the world. In this paper, it analyzes and researches the screens without the ball of2008-2013three terms World Series by using literature, expert interview, questionnaire survey method, video observation and statistics, logic analysis and mathematical statistics. The results are following:1. In the first offensive period0-10seconds of24offensive seconds, the screens without the ball is widely used; in the second offensive period10-15seconds, the quantity are relatively few; in the third offensive period15-20seconds and the fourth offensive period20-24seconds, few the screens without the ball happen.2. There are so many the screens without the ball in the low left and low right areas, but the proportion has fallen; the number of the screens without the ball in the high middle, high right and restricted areas are growing; a few of the screens without the ball happen in the high left area.3. About the screens without the ball, the shooting guard and the small forward are the most screened players; the power forward and the center are the most screeners.5-2, this screen which the center sets a screen for the shooting guard is the most used, but the proportion is falling; the number of5-3,5-4, the center sets a screen for the small forward and power forward,4-3, the power forward sets a screen for the small forward are growing.4. The offensive players usually use the front screen; the number of the side screen is falling; more and more players use the back screen.5. The two teammates set screens for one teammate and one teammate sets screens for the two teammates are frequently used, and the proportion is growing; there are some screens between the two teammates; the times of the three teammates set screens for one teammate and one teammate sets screens for the three teammates are fewer.6. With the help of the screens without the ball, the offensive players usually get rid of the defenders and get open, but this situation is becoming difficult, the players are tending to get open by delaying defenders. The proportion of the offensive foul and defensive foul is increasing. The proportion of the changed defenders and the useless screens is low.7. The screened players usually move to the ball. If they get the ball, the first option is passing the ball, the second option is breaking, the third option is shooting, and the proportion of dribbling is low. If they do not get the ball, they usually get away the ball. Sometimes the screened players flare the ball. In this situation, they often do not get the ball, so they get away the ball.
