Establishing stable social work personnel is the urgent demand of harmonious social development and the essential security for realizing the social work professionalization and occupation. How to improve the stability of the social worker’s occupation effectively and how to attract more social worker staying in this field are the key points to construct social work personnel.This article made an empirical analysis concerning occupational stability of200social workers in Shanghai through questionnaire survey method. Not only did analyze the current situation of social workers’occupational stability in Shanghai, but also study the occupational stability from flow fill of social works and behavior of finding quitting chances. Then the article analyze the influence of five factors on occupational stability, including social demographic variables, family, working conditions, job satisfaction and occupation identity, through multiple regression analysis. The following conclusions can be obtained:firstly, social workers’ occupational stability is about3/5; secondly, marital status and impact of work on the family in demographic variables have significant effect on the level of occupational stability; thirdly, job satisfaction and occupation identification contribute a predictive validity for occupational stability, in addition, the satisfaction of leadership relations、promotion of space and behavior of professional identity contribute a significant predictive validity.Finally, based on the current situation of social worker social work personnel in Shanghai, this research explores the factors of personnel incentive to improve the social workers’ occupational stability, tries to establish a mechanism of social worker personnel stability in China from job satisfaction and occupation identity, and constructs a corresponding mode of social work personnel stability, which aim to provide feasible countermeasures for research on social work personnel stability mechanism.
