It has been15years since the official start of CUBA in March,1998. The partcipation of the college teams from Anhui Province, however, is quite limited, and their achievement and place in the competition are far from ideal. Based on the investigation concerned, the study intends to clarify the problems about how CUBA influences the current university sports culture, whereby feasible suggestions and countermeasures are proposed for the development of university campus sports culture in Anhui province under the positive influence from CUBA. The program involves six researching methods, i.e. literature consultation, analytics, mathematical statistics, investigation on the spot, expert interviewing and questionnaires, and the investigation covers six universities in Anhui where basketball is well developed, which include Anhui Engineering University, Anhui Normal University, Hefei Industry University, Anhui Industry University, Huaibei Normal University, and Huainan Normal Institute. Based on comprehensive, scientific and systematic investigation and analysis, conclusions from various perspectives are made as follows:1)CUBA has exerted certain influence on the campus sports culture in various aspects, of which the mental aspect in sports culture is most effectively benefited. It serves as positive guidance for developing correct sports concepts, sports morals and good sports manners. The overall influence, however, is not ideal, and in addition, the gap between different universities in terms of CUBA’s favorable influence is being widened.2) The global influence on sports culture is not impressive in material aspect. Though the material conditions of those universities that take part in CUBA have improved to some extent, sports facilities are unevenly allocated with insufficient use ratio due to the varied focuses on certain sports items in different universities. Furthermore, as not all the colleges attach adequate importance to CUAB, the publicity of CUBA is not great enough in either strategy or intensity.3) The influence on sports culture is relatively limited in the aspect of institution. None of the universities questionnaired has ever organized sports culture festivals or other similar activities. Although CUBA helps promote after-class sports, it does not alter the basic model of physical education in general, with little influence on the actual teaching activity after class.
