With the continuous development of quality education, the sports educators’ task in Our country is no longer just let students have a healthy body; However, more impor tant is to let students have healthy psychology to ensure students’ body and mind dev elop healthily and collectively.Elementary school period is the key to the rapid development of students’ body and mind. In this period, the students’ physical development and psychological developm ent have the very big plasticity. If the healthy development of student’s body and min d in this period can’t be very good guided and promoted, students’ physical developm ent even mental health will be affected, and they will hinder the growth of the primar y students’health and success in the future.Directional movement is a mental and physical exercise. Directional movement not only conforms to the students’ physiology characteristic, and in favour of developing the students’ body organ system, but also provides students with opportunities for the obtaining of psychological training. To develop the directional movement in the ele mentary grade five can improve the students’ physical quality and promote the format ion of students’ good psychological quality, especially the independent thinking, prob lem solving skills, ability to defy difficulties and ability to resist setback. This paper will use the literature material method, interview method, psychological measurement method, teaching experiment method, mathematical statistics method t o do a comparative study for a term of directional movement and situational experim ent of the two fifth grade natural classes in Xi’an Beiguan Haojiaxiang (48students in the experiment class,41students in the control class). Carrying on the contrast analy sis on their will quality status and the change of the two classes students’ will quality after the experiment. Then coming to a conclusion and putting forward related sugges tions. The study shows:1. Before the experiment, the students’ will quality in the experimental group an d the control group in fifth grade are not high, and their will quality scores are almost the same.)2:After orienteering teaching experiment, the fifth grade students in the experimental group will quality scale two-dimensional scoring has been significantly improved in the control group will quality scores of students in terms of four dimensions raise obvious.3:From the two groups of students in the context of the performance of the experiment can be seen setback after the end of the directional movement of the teaching experiment, the students in the experimental group were better able to deal with physical education and academic encountered calm and able to solve the problem of finding and methods to deal with setbacks. Students in the control group not well cope with setbacks encountered in physical education and school.4:Directional movement promoted the experimental group will improve the quality.
