In this paper, by using the method of literature, observation, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and logic analysis method, the eight county middle school sixteen rural town of Xinyang City,800junior middle school students and50teachers as research object, according to the teaching of track and field sports development course of rural junior middle school in Xinyang City, discuss the advantages and disadvantages, the implementation of track and field teaching in Physical Education in the rural middle analyzed the factors of rural junior high school track and field teaching effect, on the basis of "sports statistics","Sports","an introduction to the research methods of SPSS in sports statistics application" and other disciplines theory, analysis of the questionnaire results. In the field of visiting investigation and analysis of sports on the basis of the theory, we draw the conclusion as follows:1,the uneven distribution of male and female physical education teachers, physical education teachers too little female, male physical education teachers in rural secondary schools still occupy an important role, while PE teacher dropping significantly2, in the educational structure, the qualification rate of Xinyang City junior high school full-time physical education teachers in rural areas reached100%; from the title structure the majority of rural sports teachers to teach secondary, primary and senior teachers less than normal, and PE teachers in rural areas is one of the most important titles in less than normal amounts of the factors causing low teacher titles.3, PE teachers’ professional capacity to respond to the strong rural middle school in Xinyang, a lower capacity for self-improvement.4,rural junior high demand less space equipment and facilities of each school physical education, compared with the previous financial investment has increased, but the schools did not do the rational use of limited funds.5,students’ interest in track and field class accounted for36.1percent do not like, do not care accounted for27.4%, but the athletics competitions for students interested in the ratio of the number of the survey accounted for83.5%, indicating that there are a lot of students do not like the track and field course However, participation in sports competitions like track and field events.6,physical education teachers to develop lifetime sports consciousness training students are not valued.7,each school within the scope of the investigation are able to better implement the new sports curriculum, teaching can be normal, start rate of100%, but each school is basically a PE lessons a week, and New Curriculum requires two classes a week, there is still a gap. 8,in the selection process of teaching athletics content, technical difficulty small, does not lead to overworked but it is also a compulsory examination projects are prone to love the students and teachers, the implementation is relatively good.9,in the countryside or by the nature of mainstream sports administration class teaching curriculum organization.10,physical education teachers in rural Xinyang only summative student achievement sport seriously, and not to the student learning process and evaluate the development of easy formation of a lack of evaluation of the accuracy.11,can be carried out once a year to ensure that the school track meet, but there is still the only form of single track meet, monotonous, and less competitive high number of participants and other issues.12,the radiation effects of changes in government policy and relevant departments of Physical Education Development or obvious.
