Holistic education is a new trend of modern education development and a novel perspective of the higher education development. The idea of holistic education occurred between the60s and70s of the20th century, as to teach "whole knowledge" in order to form a "sound personality", so to promote humans as whole and comprehensive beings. The idea of holistic education is a reflection of the Marxism’s "person’s full scale development" and the scientific concept of development in modern China, which conforms with the current education development situation in China. With the advent of the era of knowledge economy and information technology, higher education in our country there is serious tendency of scientism,utilitarian, tools, and forms the phenomenon of education which is called "half a man". Therefore, the development of higher education wants to realize further reform and innovation, must establish its unique value pursuit. The talents training goal of colleges and universities is strengthening vocational, technical, at the same time the knowledge talented person should further strengthen humanistic quality education, promoting the comprehensive and harmonious development of college students, so as to adapt to the changes of economic and social development requirements. Paper analyzes the related basic concepts of holistic education, expounds the basic ideas of holistic education and holistic education’s characteristics, combs the historical development of holistic education thought, summarizes the philosophical basis of holistic education and theoretical origin, has been cleared about the holistic education’s theory instruction significances to higher education. The analysis of Jingwen college of Suzhou university is the key of the research. The holistic education concept of Jingwen college, teaching management system and the students of the case analysis, embodies holistic education educational philosophy and education management purposes of Jingwen college. The analysis of Tutorial system, the credit offered by the academy course, honor credit management system and general education which is mainly in the form of lectures is one of the innovative research. College based on the second classroom teaching, students "mixed" accommodation, the student services center outstanding student development center, student innovation center, student pilot and students care center, students practice pays attention to student volunteer activities, etc which is the second innovation research. At the end of the article, sums up and summarizes holistic education’s experience and enlightenment of Jingwen college, the Suggestions of the reform of our country’s higher education quality education:establish the education idea of student-based, innovate teaching management system, implement general education of university, develop "mixed " accommodation system, carry out community volunteer activities.
