With the rapid development of the economy and society, English as the maincourse of senior high school teaching has been paid more attention. English writingteaching has long been regarded as the important and difficult point of high schoolEnglish teaching. At present, the disadvantages of traditional English teaching inChina as well as the students’ bad learning habits lead to a lot of problems in thesenior high school English writing. One of the biggest difficulties in English writing isthe interference of Chinglish. How to solve it has became a hard task. Now manylanguage researchers have undergone the study on Chinglish. The author holds thatthese traditional English teaching methods need to be improved. These years, thetheory of prefabricated language chunks has been enriched and developed. The theoryprovides a good means for us to improve our teaching. Prefabricated language chunksmeans to many fixed or semi-fixed formulaic frames which locate in traditionallexical and grammar items. These chunks can be more easy to receive, remember andretrieve from human memory as a whole without through generation or analysis ofgrammar. They are ideal language teaching units which combine syntactic andsemantic rules and context as a whole body. Research shows that no less than eightypercent of natural language consist of the prefabricated chunks. Because nativespeakers store a lot of prefabricated chunks in their memories, their expressions areaccurate and native.Using the prefabricated chunks theory and language transfer to guide theresearch, The author tries to discuss the following questions:(1)The situation of theChinglish which appears in the current senior high English writing.(2)If the quantityof using prefabricated chunks ascend in students’ compositions after the authorundergoes the prefabricated chunks teaching method?(3)If prefabricated chunks’teaching method is able to effectively reduce the situation of Chinglish and makelanguage expression accurate and native by comparing with the traditional teachingmethod. In order to effectively solve the above problems, the author adopt the combinationof qualitative and quantitative research, which mainly uses questionnaire andexperience to research the application of prefabricated language chunks in Englishteaching. By Comparing the statistics which we collect and analyze from pre-test andpost-test, the author gets the following conclusion that the use of prefabricatedchunks’ teaching method can effectively reduce the Chinglish and make the languagemore accurate and native so as to improve eventually the language expression level.
