Taking A part-time job has become a widespread phenomenonfor primary and secondary school teachers. The management ofpart-time affects the teaching effects of physical education inmiddle and primary schools. Aiming that, this study takes the PEteachers in primary and middle schools as the object of study. Sothe phenomenon of taking part-time jobs and its related influencingfactors are studied in the paper. This study has a theoreticalsignificance, which can enrich the achievements of P.E. trainingresearch. Meanwhile, it is of practical value, which can promote theutilization of part-time job management of P.E. teachers in theprimary and secondary schools.This study researched the part-time jobs of P.E. teachers in theprimary and secondary schools and the influencing factors throughquestionnaire and interviewing. It is found that there are somefeatures of P.E. teachers in the primary and secondary schools.First, taking a part-time job is common among P.E. teachers in theprimary and secondary schools. Second, it is supported by thedirectors and the school always has a negative attitude towardsthis phenomenon. Third, as to part-time jobs within schools, P.E.teachers usually take part in the administrative management. As to part-time jobs out of school, they are mainly about their major.Fourth, the school’s arrangement and need is the reason for thepart-time jobs within the school while their own needs are the mainreason for part-time jobs out of school. Fifth, there are threeaspects for the motivation of part-time jobs: outside environment,income and promotion, and self-development in their majors. Sixth,the teachers usually have three kinds of attitude towards part-timejobs: reasonable understanding, extreme cognition and conflict.Seventh, the motivation and attitude of the teachers has a certaininfluence on their professional development.According to the survey results, this study gives the specificmeasures to deal with the “part-time job phenomenon” from threeaspects: educational administration, school management andteachers themselves. As to educational administration, the rulesrelated to part-time job management of P.E. teachers in primary andsecondary school should be perfected according to the local laws.As to school management, the part-time jobs should be inaccordance with teachers’ professional development. The programof teachers’ professional development should be constructed. Theprofessional ethics education should be strengthened for P.E.teachers in the primary and secondary schools to let them have theprofessional sense of identity. As to teachers themselves, theyshould have a correct understanding of the relationship betweentheir own jobs and part-time jobs and deal with it well. After all, theprofessional development should be improved.
