| Philosophy of sport is a new discipline which uses the principle of the generalphilosophy to explore the basic problems of physical education. It is a theoreticaldiscipline analyzing the basic problems of physical education at the height ofphilosophy. It reflects sports practice, regulates and controls the purposes anddirections of sports practice at the level of logical thinking level. Philosophy of sportis the basic subject in the sport science and it is also practical philosophy. It ispeople’s general view about physical education, physical educators’ world outlookand methodology in sports and a kind of powerful ideological weapon which is usedto understand and change sports practice.Journal of the Philosophy of Sport (JPS) is a journal of American philosophy ofsport which is included in the Science Citation Index (SCI) of Web of Science. It isthe most popular international publication in philosophy of sport and it also occupiesan important role in international sports academic field, aiming to promote thedevelopment of philosophy of sport in the world. There are so many problems inChina’s philosophy of sport. It has been more than30years since the research hot ofthe early1980s till the bottleneck of theoretical research of nowadays. After twistsand turns, the universally accepted subject system of philosophy of sport still cannotbe developed, even many sports workers do not know what philosophy of sport is, andlet alone to publish the specialized journal of sport philosophy.
