Teaching material as the subject of knowledge and skills system, not only embodies the nature and development of the discipline, and embodies the specific form of the course, embodies the content of learning, plays an important role.Now development level of teaching material is relatively low in our country, So it is necessary for foreign interdisciplinary study compared the excellent teaching material, teaching will help China’s chemical and reform the precious experiences we should adopt.This paper use research methods such as comparative research, case comparison method and literature method in “the mystery of the material composition”, for example contrast the Chinese version of junior middle school chemistry teaching and <the scientific explorer?Chemical reaction >(mainstream American junior high school science teaching material of the third edition).Through to the United States and the junior middle school chemistry teaching material analysis and comparison, find out the chemical teaching material in the architecture, the choice of content, the depth of the content, the content of presentation of similarities and differences, analyzing both the advantages and disadvantages of the chemical teaching material and the characteristic.
