Objective:The study is aim to understand the occurrence of vocational medical students self-injury behavior and know psychological assessment and life attitude differences between students with self-injury behavior or not. We also want to know the effect of self-injury behavior on mental health and life attitude, correctly guide medical students to promote mental health, to improve life attitude and life quality. Methods:A sample of 720 high vocational college students in 2013 and 2014 for admission in September,recycling effective questionnaire 687 copies. Completed the Questionnaires of Teenagers self-injury behavior questionnaire,Adolescents Self-Rating Life Events Checklist,Coping Style Questionnaire and life attitude Questionnaire. Results:1. Among 687 high vocational medical college students, 144 occurred self-injury behavior. The proportion is 20.96%. Dragging pinched deliberately is the highest incidence rate and pulling hair.2.We analyze the difference of the self-injury behavior between the demographic variables. The occurrence rate of self-injury behavior in second grade students is higher than that of grade one students; the occurrence rate of self-injury behavior in good academic achievement is higher than that of other students; the occurrence rate of self-injury behavior in family economic environment is higher than that of other students.3.There are significant difference in self-injury behavior between high study pressure and low study pressure of medical students life events(P = 0.003).4.There are significant difference in self-injury behavior among coping style of self-injury behavior in problem solving, self-blame, help, fantasy, avoidance, rationalization.(P < 0.001).5. There are significant difference in self-injury behavior among the meaning of life sense of self-injury behavior in the will to meaning, filling, purpose in life, life control, adoption of suffering, death acceptance(P < 0.001). Conclusions:1. Vocational medical college students self-injury behavior detection rate is high( 20.96%). pinched deliberately, Pulling hair are more common. It is necessary to cause the attention of family, school and society.2. Students in high grade students, from poor family have the high possibility of self-injury behavior.3. Students with low learning pressure has high possibility of self-injury behavior.4. The occurrence of the possibility of self-injury behavior in vocational medical college students with high problem solving ability is lower than others. The occurrence of the possibility of self-injury behavior in vocational medical college students with self-blame, fantasy, withdrawal encountered difficulties are higher than others.5. The possibility of self-injury behavior is high which students are the lack of life meaning and purpose of life and feel the spiritual emptiness, anxiety and ignore the life...
