Core strength training has become a lot of sports training methods, by the coaches’ attention, people gradually realize that the core strength not only in the field of fitness and rehabilitation has a positive role, but also in the field of competitive sports have a very important role. In the sport of Taekwondo, all the movements are the key muscle group as the important hub of the movement chain, strong core muscle group on the movement of the movement plays a key role in the movement of the body posture, movement skills and technical action plays a role in stability and support. The quality of the core strength of the master and the technical level of the athletes, and the development of other sports. Therefore, with the basic theory of core training, analysis of the core muscles of the work principle and the core strength of the main role and training of Taekwondo Players, with important theoretical and practical significance. This paper aims to provide reference for the application of core strength training in the teaching and training of taekwondo.Using the literature material method, expert interview method, experimental method and mathematical statistics research methods, experimental study was made on the effect of core strength training in Taekwondo athletes performance. Research shows that: after a period of 16 weeks of core strength training, taekwondo athletes core strength level obtained obvious improvement, the core indicators of endurance, core stability index with a very significant difference; the core strength, core outbreak force index difference is significant. Especially in Poomsae drills, the body in a fatigue state conditions, athletes in basic skills in a single action, specification of a full set of technical action and action conversion speed, coherence and single action of adhesion after the completion of the overall effect and kicking acceleration(shrinkage), rotation and complete difficulty movement success rate were more significant improvement is effectively improves the competitive level of Taekwondo athletes.
