Along with the rapid development of technology in the 21st century, people can reach to diverse information conveniently during study, work and travel in daily life through modern technology. They even have no need to get outside. However, this convenient life brings some hidden troubles to our physical health. People become more and more reliable to mobile phone and computer, which can inevitably lead to unhealthy habits. Therefore, the Ministry of Education begins to be much concerned with teenagers’body health. The elementary education has been reformed to enhance the teenagers’body health and develop their good living habits.After the reformation of new curriculum standard, our country establishes the guiding concept of Health First in physical education, which at the same time can give physical education teachers guidance in giving classes. Nowadays, physical curriculum is not only about teaching students technical movements, but more importantly also about letting them experience happiness, acquire healthy body, and acquiring active life through participating sports. Newstyle physical education is more concerned with cultivating students’athletic abilities, sports cognition, communication abilities, strong willpower and executive capacities. As people’s living standard has been enhanced recently, they can provide much more time to do sports, which are the most interesting, efficient and helpful parttime activities. People need sport throughout their lives, so cultivating students ’lifelong exercise awareness becomes the most important goal in their middle and primary education period. As the old saying goes, "Interest is the best teacher", interest is the important factor in influencing students exercise consciousness and initiative. Thus, in order to develop the lifelong sports hobbies, the primary task of physical education is to improve students’interests of sports. Interest is based on human beings’ basic need. As long as sports bring participants value, people become eager to take exercises, which can become a part of their habits step by step, and then, habits can lead to people develop a much more active life style.Being active is children’s nature instincts. Middle and primary students have broad sport hobbies, and among which, ball games are the most popular ones. Many children, even kindergarten kids, are preferred to playing balls. Ball games are also one of human beings’born like sports. Among all the ball games, the unique attraction of basketball let many middle and primary school students are fond of playing it. Playing basketball can not only strong students’bodies, but also help students become much more active in emotion, communication, strain capacity and cognitive competence. If students could, bring the strong willpower, swift reflection capability, communication ability and self-control ability to study and life, they can build health personality characteristics.However, in this rapid development informational society, most young people always choose to spend time in studying and playing computer games instead of doing sports. The author of this passage is tend to investigate and analyze the ways of developing middle and primary students’basketball interests with the guidance of new curriculum standard. This passage discusses a verity of basketball instructional modes and basketball class games, in order to add entertainment and interest to physical education class, which can make students become fond of playing basketball, and then lead them to develop exercise habits.
