The new students of secondary vocational school is difficult to adapt to the new model of mathematics teaching because of their weak foundation, bad habits of study and disjointed contents of teaching material between junior high school and secondary vocational school. In order to achieve the aim of training high quality talents that have enough mathematical knowledge, the linkage of mathematics teaching has been a focus in high and secondary vocational school.The main purpose of this paper is to offer a transitional platform to students between the stage of junior high school and secondary vocational school to strengthen their confidence to study mathematics, to enhance their interest and to help their obtain more knowledge by exploring the study on the cohesion teaching of mathematics between students of junior high school and secondary vocational school. A questionnaire is adopted to analyze the basic mathematics knowledge and the existent emotion of the new students in secondary vocational school, thereby, the conclusion, that the cohesion teaching of mathematics needs to link the teaching contents, learning methods and the learning habits, is drawn. In allusion to the question mentioned above, based on the teaching experience and the characteristic teaching cases, the author establishes some strategies on the mathematics teaching cohesion stage of junior high school and secondary vocational school, which plays a effective role so as to blend in the mathematics teaching of secondary vocational school and improve the mathematics and application ability of students.The cohesion strategies in this paper are following. Firstly, developing the curriculum should be principled, purposeful and should according to practical situation of the students. Secondly, teaching the material should be scientific and reasonable to train mathematical foundation; Setting up some methods of individualized quality education to the enhance the interest of students; Compiling a set of teaching material which turns abstract and complex into simple and easy contents to strengthen the foundation skills; Adopting various teaching forms to improve the interest of studying mathematics. Thirdly, training better learning habits and learning methods.The study arranged the class which accepted the cohesion teaching to be experimental group and the class which didn’t accept the cohesion teaching to be control group. Meanwhile, by comparing the result of the two groups, the study testified the feasibility and effectiveness of the cohesion teaching.
