The Chinese nation is a "state of ceremonies" since ancient times. "Ceremony", one of the core contents of Chinese civilization in traditional culture, is still playing an active role in present school moral education. It has important practical significance to cultivation of students’moral quality, building a harmonious campus and training qualified successors to the cause of socialism.The author works in Quanhu middle school, which locates in the southwest mountainous area of Shahe city in Hebei province. In this school, all of the students come from countrysides nearby. For a long time, the performances of rural childrens in appearance, dress, speech, expression and communication are not satisfactory because of the restrictions from various environmental conditions. Sometines they are even loose, rough or dirty. As a result, people feel them impolite and Low quality when we mentioned "rural students".In recent years the Party and the country pay more attention to the education of the rural students, especially in the aspect of civilized etiquette education. The author has been committed to the research of etiquette and civilization Education in Quanhu middle school. Based on extensive reading of a large number of related literature, books, papers, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the current situation of the civilization etiquette of grade 7 and grade 8 students from this school. At the same time, the forum of representatives of parents and representatives of the community was held to understand the status quo of students’civilized etiquette on the basis of data analysis and conference communication and sum up the causes of occurrence of uncivilized behavior, i.e., rural family environment and the impact of the overall cultural level, the lack of ideological education and the cultivation of civilized behavior, the negative effects of social environment, etc. Then, the specific methods and measures of rural junior middle school students to carry out civilized etiquette education were studied, i.e., to creat a harmonious and civilized family atmosphere, carry out various forms of educational activities in schools and creat a good social environment in the whole society. After a year of a series of related education and follow-up survey, the same questionnaire to all the research subjects was carried out. By comparing the data before and after the two survey questionnaire, the results and deficiencies are summarized in order to gradually explore effective strategies and ways to change uncivilized situation in rural junior high school students and cultivate good habits of civilization.
