Recently, With the in-depth development of educational reform, the concept of quality-oriented education has become popular among people. Meanwhile, we Chinese focus more on College Entrance examination. High school students should pay more attention to all kinds of examination questions. By analyzing recent years’ papers of College Entrance Examination, we found that rural students lost more score in writing comparing with urban students. The reason is various, as the gap between urban and rural becomes larger, the social, school and family environment the students of the two areas is different. Rural students absorb more English knowledge and have wider scope of other knowledge, featured with a more open mental ability, so have more advantages than rural students in writing ability. Another important reason is the impact of the native language. As far as I am concerned, as the teachers in rural area cannot change the environment in society, school and family of the students, they can help the students promote the ability of native language transfer, overcome the teaching methods and strategies of negative transfer to solve the problem that the rural students lost many score in writing, help them improve the ability of writing.Since 1950 s, the studies of native language transfer emerging in endlessly, this kind of studies achieve fruit result, including the impact on teaching of positive transfer and negative transfer. Those impacts include the studies in vocabulary, pronunciation,syntax, and text. But these studies are more about theory, which is positive usage of positive transfer, and overcome the bad impacts of the negative transfer in writing, and put the theory into practice. Actually, the purpose of this paper is to improve the writing ability of the rural students, overcome the bad impact of negative transfer on writing.Last but not least, this paper put the theory of native language into practice, which is another important significance, and will promote the development of native language.I want to try my best to improve my ability in teaching, and meanwhile, I hope to give some inspiration to other English teachers. Above all things, I hope the study can improve students’ ability in English writing and offer them some skills in English learning. The purpose of the paper is to promote students’ comprehensive development.The paper is composed of six parts. The first part is Introduction. It mainly about the background、the purpose、the significance and the structure of the study. The second part is Theoretical Framework, including: the language transfer theory of the early period、 the definition of the language transfer、the different types of the language transfer. The third part is Document Study, the influence of mother language transfer in English teaching. We come from the positive transfer and the negative transfer to discuss the influence of mother language transfer. The fourth part is to analyze the reasons of the differences between the urban students and the rural students, and the aim is to improve the English writing ability of country’s students under the theory of mother language transfer. The fifth part is Research. It includes purpose、methods、results and conclusion of the research. The sixth part is Conclusion.
