Teacher professional identity is that how much confidence and expectations in his own careeer a teacher has in the interaction with the environment. On the basis of the previous studies on teachers’ professional identity at home and abroad, this study conducts the theoretical assumptions through the predecessors’studies and open questionnaire, tests and verifies the elementary school physical education teachers professional identity structure model through the questionnaire survey, items analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to compile the questionnaire of elementary school physical education teachers’professional identity.This study consists of two series researches. The first study has been discussed the structure of elementary school physical education teachers’professional identity. According to the previous studies and open questionnaire survey to explore and determine theoretical dimension, and compile the initial questionnaire of elementary school physical education teachers’professional identity. This study involves 454 primary school physical education teachers and gets 310 valid questionnaire. It finally gets the structure model of elementary school physical education teachers’professional identity through items analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The second study has been described the characteristics of elementary school physical education teachers’professional identity. It analyses 231 participants from the first study using the method of Multivariate. Research conclusions are as follows:(1) The elementary school teachers’professional identity includes five dimensions, namely ability identity, dedication identity, social Identity, value identity, emotion identity.(2) The overall level of the elementary school physical education teachers’identity is higher than the theoretical median value, but five dimensions of teachers’professional identity were different, the highest dedication identity and lowest social identity.(3) The overall level has no significant difference in seniority. But there is a significant difference in ability identity and social identity, the level of ability identity of the teachers working for 1-3 years is lower than the other teachers, and their dedication identity level is just lower than 21 years above teachers’.On the dimension of social identity, less than 10 years of teachers’level was higher than 11-15 years and 21 years above teachers’.(4) The overall level has no significant difference in title, but different titles of elementary school physical education teachers in ability identity and social identity have significant difference. The level of no title teachers in the ability identity is lower than first and senior class ones. The level of senior class teachers in the social identity is lower than no title, second class and first class ones.(5) There is a significant difference at school location in dedication identity and value identity. The level of teachers working in city school in dedication identity is higher than the ones working in town and countryside. The level of teachers working in town school in value identity is lower than the ones working in city and countryside...
