Acomparative Study On The Techniques And Tactics Of Table Tennis Players Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen And Li Xiaoxia

With the continuous modifications of competition rules, there are higher demands for the technique of athletes and more requirements on the physical quality of athletes, especially for female athletes. Female athletes are required to not only have more advanced tactics, but also keep a better physical strength and strong ability of stalemate. Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen today and Li Xiaoxia are the world’s top three athletes in the International Table Tennis Federation. Their ways to play represents the highest level of the world women’ s table tennis grip in terms of both sides of reverse way to play. What’s more, it is quite reliable to say that the study of their tactics is the world’s most outstanding women’ s table tennis summary. The analysis of their respective winning strategies well provides a theoretical basis for the training and improvement for subsequent athletes.This research has selected the top three athletes Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen and Li Xiaoxia in December 2014 ITTF. From December 2012 to January 2015, there are three major table tennis events, namely, the Olympic Games, World Table Tennis Championships and Table Tennis World Cup. In light of the final screening, there are 17 times in all. Based on literature data method, video observation method, mathematical statistics and comparative analysis of their technical and tactical effect with respect of line, placement and other aspects, results of the research can be concluded as follows:Ding Ning’ s overall situation of three stages is in good condition, whose score rate in the attack stage and the stalemate both reaches the excellent standard. But during the stage of receiving and serving ball, she is too conservative and lacks direct consciousness. She mainly employs forehand low toss service combining with squat down cut serve placement, which mainly relies on the semi put in terms of landing and is auxiliary with near net ball and long ball in the bottom line. The key factor for Ding Ning to score basing on ace is the novel way to service a ball. The receiving balls and servicing balls mainly are dominated by controlling technology. And landing point mainly concentrates on the placement near the net and the bottom line. When it comes to a stalemate, she generally takes measures to press the middle to change backhand to forehand and mainly select forehand and sideways technology and supplement with backhand in the choice of technology.
