Physical education textbook is objective existence in sports teaching and the indispensable important constituent, it embody a concentrated reflection of national physical education thought, carrying the concept of new curriculum reform, It is smooth implementation teaching tool, and the authority of the student to study the information. Along with the advancement of reform of physical education and deepening, people pay more attention to textbook writing quality of physical education teaching level to the influence of the contents of the textbooks edited,structural design, the picture insert, the description of the language aspects put forward higher request, how to further improve the quality of textbooks, based on the existing is our current problem to be solved. Therefore, under the background of new curriculum reform, to study textbook usage, understanding the characteristics of textbook writing, found the existing problems and understanding the objective evaluation of the textbooks, teachers and students for further improving the quality of textbooks, highlight the local characteristics and improve the using effect, thus promoting the smooth implementation of primary and secondary school physical education curriculum reform in Shanghai has important practical significance.This study in yangpu district of Shanghai tongji university junior high school, three middle school, the baoshan district experimental middle school in middle school, the rainbow, qibao experimental middle school, baoshan experimental middle school of minhang district, hongkou, a junior high school, the revival of hongkou district 8junior high school physical education teachers and students as investigation object,and using the method of literature, questionnaire, interview method, as well as the methods of mathematical statistics, the Shanghai junior middle school sports and fitness the usage of the textbook has carried on the comprehensive investigation and study, this paper studies the main conclusion is as follows:1.The textbook embodies the guiding ideology of "health first" and "based on students’ development" the basic concept, but there are also keeping fit is not obvious in the textbooks, the do not conform to the subject of sports, physical education curriculum for fitness is lack of theoretical knowledge introduction.2.The teacher of the textbook utilization rate is higher, but the student to the textbook used situation is not optimistic, students’ awareness of importance of textbook there is a big deviation. Academic pressure is the leading cause of students use textbooks.3.The knowledge and skills module promotes the teachers and students mastery of knowledge and skills, but for part of the action method and mainly described the lack of integrity and accuracy of knowledge points, to learn and practice module to guide the students’ extracurricular physical exercise, but the science practice methods lack of richness and diversity.4.Good textbook content to cultivate the students’ physical education learning interest, but because the part is too old or content more than the students’ learning level and ability to accept, which affect the students’ interest in physical education learning.5.Each module has different characteristics and function in the teaching, theteachers in the teaching is the most used module of self-evaluation of self-test and learn and practice module, to think and explore the use of modules to a minimum.
