Academic Corruption and the academic community has been concerned about the hot issues discussed in the public. In currently available studies for such problems, there have been much extensive research from theory to empirical on reasons, background and stratege. In this study, the author use the basis of previous results, with media reports of academic corruption as the starting point, through the 360 reports in "People’s Daily", "Guangming Daily", "Nanfang Daily", "Guangzhou Daily", "China Education "from 2000 to 2015 about academic corruption as the main study objects. Based on the basic theory of pedagogy and communication studies, combined with bibliometrics and text analysis method, the author analysis the reports in time, source, subject, subject, content distribution, and the topics tendentious manner through the content of the mainstream media on the academic corruption; and selectted typical events of academic corruption with high degree of concern to make a comparement for the difference between academia and media on concern and discussion methods. The results are shown that in the process of reporting academic corruption the media has the negative tendency of topics, while the right to speak of university teachers in this process needs to be strengthened.On this basis, the author summarizes the mainly academic corruption behavior in the reports as follows:(1) plagiarism of academic achievement; (2), shoddy, Submission and foam of academic; (3) favoritism in the process of Academic evaluation activities; (4) use the power to occupy or snatch academic achievements of others; (5), misappropriation, corruption or abuse of research funds, and use this as a starting point for the analysis of the relationship between academic corruption and university teachers’ media image. The frequent occurrence of academic corruption weakens the moral autonomy of university teachers, and this kind of weakenness will Increase the risk of anomie behavior. On this basis, the author used the perspective of higher education, with the starting point on universities teachers’ themselves, to explore the improve ways for the negative image of university teachers:to enhance academic self-discipline, to improve media literacy,to improve the media environment and to give university teachers more more right to speak.For the meaning of the research and analysis of academic corruption reports and the significance of the image of university teachers is, on the one hand, to recognize the tendency due to the pursuit of news value; on the other hand, to explore the way of improving the image of university teachers as well as to make an extension and supplement for university teachers’ media image research from pedagogy perspective.
