Research On Development Strategy Of Quanzhou Institute Of Technology

With the enrolment expansion of higher education in China, higher vocational education has developed rapidly, especially the private higher vocational education, which is an important part in higher vocational education. Based on the current development strategy of Quanzhou Institute of Technology, this paper analyzes the its development background and the present academic research on the development strategy of higer education through the comprehensive methods of the qualitative and quantitative analysis, documentation consultation, consulting as well as other various applications. It can be found from the article that the current academic research on the development strategy of higher vocational colleges has made some achievements and the development of higher vocational colleges has become the focus of the society. And from the perspective of PEST, the macro development environment of Chinese higher vocational colleges is promising. To be specific, the national policy, present income level of residents as well as the improvement of educational concepts are all good for the development of Quanzhou Institute of Technology. However, it also confronts some external issues in the process of development, such as a large number of competitors, more intense competition and so on. What’s worse, Quanzhou Institute of Technology itself is in possession of a series of problems such as the less strong brand influence and the unsound major arrangement. Therefore, with the reduction of the school-age population in China, Quanzhou Institute of Technology will be faced with a serious crisis of lacking adequate students for a period of time in the future. Under this background, this paper concludes the development strategy of Quanzhou Institute of Technology on the base of further analyses on strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats of its development. Taking the current specific development status of Quanzhou Institute of Technology and the development trend of higher vocational education at home and abroad into consideration, this paper points out that disequilibrium strategy and differentiation strategy are suitable for Quanzhou Instituteof Technology. In order to implement the development strategy, we can construct the specialty group matched with the development of the regional economy, intensify the personnel training and the teaching reform, strengthen the construction of teachers team, make full use of the characteristics in school running, use network marketing to strengthen brand influence and so on. At last, the paper summarizes the research of the whole paper and brings up with the shortcomings and the points need to improved.
